Ifeoma Atueyi is a self-taught abstract artist from Baltimore, Maryland who enjoys creating artwork to inspire the viewer to dive into a space that allows inner reflection – embracing who you are.
She is also a devoted wife and mother of two beautiful children and pharmacist who enjoys using her skills/background to cater to the underserved population. Ifeoma is Nigerian and her work is heavily influenced by her culture. Therefore, every piece of artwork she creates is a representation of ideas or memories generated from the beauty in her heritage, experiences, and emotions.
Prior to starting each art piece, Ifeoma writes inspirational messages or lyrics from her favorite song or album on the canvas. She loves using mixed media and unconventional tools to produce every piece. So, she uses texture to create a three-dimensional effect to draw attention, colors to highlight beauty in imperfection or perfection, and patterns to create movement in order for the viewer to create a storyline.
Ifeoma believes we are placed on earth to serve and love one another so her goal is to use each piece to inspire the viewer to feel self-empowerment and show beauty through art.
